  As a lifelong resident of the region, I have been eating Charlie's Chicken for literally as long as I can remember. And I remember a whole lot of those chicken chunks, mashed potatoes, rotisserie chicken dinners, and gobs of other homemade delights.
  
  I remember when Charlie's cooked fresh food and made everything in-house. So when I visited the drive-through recently, and was given barbecue sauce in ketchup packets, I died a little inside.
  
  Then, when I asked about the sauce, an employee told me, "No, the only think we make homemade anymore is the meatloaf."
  
  Twenty years ago, Charlie's was a five-star restaurant with loads of southern charm and taste, and today they live off of that reputation; however, all you'll find these days are powdered mashed potatoes, sub-par bulk-purchased barbecue sauce, and dry chicken.
  
  Having been born and raised in Muskogee, it kills me to write this review.
